You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

You have had a bank account for a few years. Recently you received a letter from the bank stating that your account is $240 overdrawn and that you will be charged $70 which will be taken directly from your account. You know that this information is incorrect.

Write a letter to the bank. Explain what has happened and say what you would like them to do about it.

You should write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses. Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to you in response to a letter you have sent to me. My name is Nael, and my account number at your bank is 123456789.

A couple of days ago, I have received a letter from your bank. It is telling me that I have overdrawn my account, and now I owe the bank $70 which I have to pay. I am hoping to get more information about that from you, as I am quite certain that I have not overdrawn my account. Actually my account transaction history should show it all, and I could not find that withdrawn $240 mentioned in the letter. You can check that for all these 8 years that I have been a client with your bank I have never overdrawn my account.

Could it be possible that I have received this letter by mistake? I have attached a copy of that letter along with this one. Since there is very little details in it, I would like to request full details on the matter. Also a formal letter for any imposed payments for the bank, which I have to settle.

Regards,

Nael
