You recently visited a tourist attraction and you were very pleased with the help given to you by the staff.

Write a letter to the head of staff at the tourist attraction. In your letter:

  • give details of the circumstances of your visit
  • describe the help given to you by the staff
  • say what you want the head staff to do

You should write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,


Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to inform you about the pleasant visit I made not so long ago, to your resort. I am grateful to you and your staff for all your help and assistance. Also for the great efforts put in building and maintaining such resort.

My trip in general was not following a definitive plan, all what I had in mind was to check out the city. It was by coincidence that I found a brochure about your resort, and decided to go there. Hence, I reached the resort late at night, and without a booking. Your vibrant staff was able to quickly find me a room and get it prepared for me. They were very understanding to my situation, on the next morning they helped me to find the best activities for me, as I could not try them all in two days.

I would like to thank you for such great resort. Also, please convey my good wishes to all your staff. One thing to mention is, I noticed most of your staff does not live within the resort. Given the size of your resort, I hope it would be possible to let your staff stay there, instead of traveling back and forth every day.
